【相信奇迹】

不会走不会跑能飞吗?能!——说的不是动物奇观 ,是发生在身边的故事。

当我看到这些人,这些来自世界各地的新移民,他们有的从前学过点法语,有的也刚接触法语几周,当他们操着磕磕巴巴的法语、还有他们的母语与英法混杂的自创新语,激情四射地介绍自己的祖国和文化时,我相信了上面的奇迹。

奇迹是可能发生的,当有足够的动力和压力催促,又有合适的方法去达成时——少不得要付出艰苦的努力和要有对跌落的防范。

本周原定要上台做中华文化介绍的演讲,因几位领先登台者酣畅挥洒、易放难收占去了时间而挪到下周。

不是好高骛远,是箭在弦、鸟在崖。

谨以此文为自己壮行。

  1. It seems the moderator/instructor failed to control the presentation time. It is also unfair for those who had prepared themselves for their turns of speech on that scheduled day.

    So that we all learn what to learn and what to unlearn.

  3. How was your French speech Wednesday? Under your influence, how many of your classmates now plan to travel to China? I recently attended an "Effective Speaking" course here in town. I enjoyed and have learned at least two things and can share with you and others:

    1. Get to the main point in the first 3 or 4 sentences, followed by elaboration and supporting words.
    2. Keep the speech short. A 1 to 3 minutes speech is NOT considered a short one. In my recent training, each of us was asked to deliver an impromptu speech for less than 3 minutes. That was fun!
