It seems the moderator/instructor failed to control the presentation time. It is also unfair for those who had prepared themselves for their turns of speech on that scheduled day.
So that we all learn what to learn and what to unlearn.
How was your French speech Wednesday? Under your influence, how many of your classmates now plan to travel to China? I recently attended an "Effective Speaking" course here in town. I enjoyed and have learned at least two things and can share with you and others:
1. Get to the main point in the first 3 or 4 sentences, followed by elaboration and supporting words. 2. Keep the speech short. A 1 to 3 minutes speech is NOT considered a short one. In my recent training, each of us was asked to deliver an impromptu speech for less than 3 minutes. That was fun!
